Different types of stars.

PROTO STARS:

a proto star a what there is before a star forms,it  is a lot of gas that has come from  a giant molecular cloud. it takes over 100 years for a star to form! and a proto star is how!

MAIN SEQUENCE STARS:

main sequence stars are most of the stars in our solar system. Our sun is a main sequence star!!!  Main sequence stars can be different in size, weight and brightness, but they are all doing the same thing, making  hydrogen into helium in their center! and releasing heaps amount of energy!!

RED GIANT STARS:

a red giant star is when the main sequence star has consumed enough hydrogon and has “stopped working in its center”  the hydrogen is what gives it “gravity” and so the star collapses and turns HUGE! 300 times bigger than our sun! and then the hydrogen covers the outside and burns which is what keeps the star “alive”

NEUTRON STARS:

when a star is heavier than the sun it doesn’t turn into a white dwarf star its turns into a CATASTROPHIC supernova explosion!!!!!!!!  its remaining core turns into a neutron star. as it says in the name a neutron star is a rare star only made of neutrons!!!!!!!!!! this is because of the extreame gravity of the star, its so intense that it crushes all of the protons in the star! and if they where any bigger the stars would become black holes! no one has ever taken a picture of a neutron star but there’s drawings…
